Anne's House of Dreams

The tale of the lively and imaginative Anne has captivated generations of readers, transporting them to the quaint setting of Green Gables, an old-fashioned farmstead outside Avonlea in Canada.
Freshly married, Anne and Gilbert move to Four Winds Point, where Gilbert takes over his uncle’s medical practice. Anne befriends neighbour Leslie Moore, who struggles with a disabled husband and squandered dreams, deeply contrasted by Anne’s vivacity and freedom. However, Anne’s life is soon marred by tragedy and the two lean on each other in their struggles.
Anne’s House of Dreams is the fifth book in the series about Anne of Green Gables.

L. M. MONTGOMERY [1874-1942] was a Canadian author. She grew up with her grandparents in Cavendish and began writing at an early age. In 1908, her debut novel, Anne of Green Gables, was published, marking the first installment in what would become one of the most beloved children’s and young adult book series ever. The book has been translated into around 36 languages and sold over 50 million copies.
